Florida / Texas Disaster Relief Response
Dr Vernon Swift is calling on all ASMBC churches to assist in reaching the immediate challenge of $10,000 made by our National Baptist Convention president, Dr. Jerry Young. However we want to exceed that challenge because the needs are far greater. We are asking all churches to take a special offering, make individual contributions and pledge to the overall 2017-2018 goal of $100,000. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE respond as soon as possible by filling out and returning the pledge forms below. Dear Alabama Baptist Family, Pastors, Leaders and Citizens:
I’m sure you are aware of the flooding that is still impacting many of our brothers and sisters in the Houston area. As Christians, we are instructed to help those in need, just as our friends and families helped with the April 2011 tornado relief. Therefore, I am asking you to join in with us as we provide services and supplies in the Houston area. Specifically, I am requesting two major contributions:
